The 6th annual White Night event was held in Melbourne on Saturday 17th February 2018
It attracted over 600,000 guests and is the illumination of several different Melbourne landmarks, as well as exhibitions, performances, music and film. It receives critical acclaim for its innovation, artistic vision and the bringing together of so many people, young and old alike.
Landmarks used as backdrops include Federation Square, State Library, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Carlton Gardens, Lonsdale St, City Square, Little Bourke St, Queen Victoria Gardens, Alexandra Gardens, QV, Collins St, Yarra River, Hamer Hall, Birrarung Marr and the State Gallery, amongst others.
White Night is one of Melbourne’s most patronised events on the City’s calendar. Not to be forgotten, our regional partners including Bendigo, Ballarat and Geelong have also undertaken a “White Night” incarnation in the last few years which has also proved very popular with our country friends.
With so many people surging into the city at one time, what infrastructure is required to keep the event running smoothly?
No Fuss Event Hire is proud to partner with the City of Melbourne to provide safe temporary event solutions to provide attendees with the most enjoyable experience possible. We have been assisting with this event since 2014.
No Fuss Event Hire had temporary equipment in just about every landmark.
Marquees
The City of Melbourne requested people be sheltered from the elements. They also required information and merchandise tents. We were able to meet these needs with a selection of marquees used, with an impressive selection of high tops and canopies, clearspan and specialty structures that can be made to your specifications. Assorted sizes are also available if required.
Temporary Flooring Solutions
The City of Melbourne wanted people to be directed to safe, stable flooring where they could take a moment to take a break or walk through an area which was well marked, whilst protecting the turf underneath.
Our temporary flooring products can offer a rollout pedestrian floor that will contour to any surface. Each section is quite small but can be assembled to an unlimited size. This floor is ideally suitable for pedestrian access.
These products have been used around site accommodation as a short-term footpath, as well as covering environmentally sensitive areas. This product will protect the grass underneath, is extremely easy to use and can be utilised many times.
Our flooring systems are some of the most advanced rollout pedestrian floorings on the market today, and this flexible modular flooring system is suitable for a broad range of flooring requirements. It is equally suited to space requirements as small as 20 square metres, up to an amazing 20,000 square metres. Importantly, its pull-out functionality enables rapid installation and reduces labour and handling costs.
Supa-Trac Flooring
Access was required by the exhibitors, with maintaining the integrity of the turf underneath as paramount. This ideal temporary flooring solution can support the weight of forklifts with pneumatic tyres, light trucks and vehicular traffic. Supa-Trac is a superior turf and ground protection product, with panels allowing light, air and water to reach the turf. It keeps the grass underneath alive, whilst protecting the turf from being trampled by pedestrians or vehicles.
Supa-Trac is suitable for natural and synthetic turf, both indoors or out and is a widely recognised design for temporary coverage solutions for pedestrian access, event flooring and festival flooring, car parking and helipads.
Miscellaneous Equipment
Not only do we carry a huge range of structural temporary flooring solutions, we also have many furnishings to complement the needs of an event. This can include tables, chairs furniture, lights, fridges, podiums, portable clothing racks, weights, fridges, heaters and coolers. For detailed information go to www.nofusseventhire.com.au
